Flowers that Beautify and Heal

We’ve recently revealed the incredible properties of two powerful herbs used in OM’s formulations. Today, we will explore the role of flowers in the formulation of OM products.

Commonly associated with beautiful scents and vibrant colours, flowers have been used to decorate and scent for thousands of years. The recognition of flowers for their beautifying and healing properties can be traced to the ancient Roman civilisation. Ancient Romans often incorporated petals and flower extracts into their beauty regimes.

 

Rose

Known to many as the ‘Flower of Love’, this delicately precious and seductively fragile bloom is one of the most widely sought-after flowers in the cosmetic industry. With a pleasantly sweet aroma and smooth texture, natural rose oils are becoming increasingly difficult to source. Each drop of rose essential oil is distilled from thousands of petals. The highly coveted organic rose oil farmed and distilled at OM’s facilities are particularly pure and potent.

Lavender

A calming purple flower that does more than just freshen the air and soothe the senses, Lavender is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Also used therapeutically as an essential oil to reduce anxiety, calm, and relieve pain, the oil is shown to have a neuroprotective effect and encourages sleep. Cultivated organically in the fields at OM’s farm, the lavender used in OM products are high in purity and free of synthetic chemicals.

Known to promote overall wellness and reduce inflammation, this flower is ideal for treating sensitive skin conditions. Also organically propagated and collected in the fields of OM’s farm, the geranium used in OM products are rich in antioxidants and especially potent.
